Waynesville, NC to Asheville, NC
35 miles
Today was a short day. We pulled out of Waynesville with renewed
optimism. The weather was good, we have a rest day coming and the ride
into Asheville was short.
The day didn't start off so well for Josh though. He started out with
some stomach problems and by mid-day he couldn't even pedal. He
hitchhiked into Asheville and booked two nights in a hotel room. We're
hoping it will subside by tomorrow.
He is getting the rest he needs and thats the important thing.
Glenn and I headed to Paul(friend of Glenn's) and Sheridan Cupp's place
in Asheville. They have a lovely home with two beautiful kids. The
views are fantastic. His property is surrounded by mountains on all
sides.
They have put us up in their basement for the night. Thank you very
much. Tomorrow, we plan to ride into downtown and enjoy the rest day
just checking things out.
