Spring Green, WI to Marquette, IA
68 miles

Winds just never stop and of course it's never tailwind.  I guess
riding westward and being in the midwest, this is what we have to expect
everyday.

Cari cooked us banana pancakes this morning which were delicious.  Thank
you.

Do you ever notice that no matter what you do, there is someone out
there just a step ahead of you.
So I'm thinking that bicycling from Key West to Anchorage is hard.  We
met a fellow cyclist today who met a woman that was running around the
world with what seemed like a 150lb trailer tied to her.  It was a 3
wheeled contraption which she could actually sleep in.  She had just
completed her leg through Siberia and half of North America.  She is near
Chicago at this point.   That makes us look like we're flying first
class up to Anchorage.

We have crossed into the tenth state of Iowa today, just barely.  We
can still see the mighty Mississippi.  We have snagged a park shelter for
the night.  We got the OK from Marquette Police Department.

Marquette Cafe and Bar was the hangout for the night.  I mentioned to
someone that I never have had Morrell mushrooms.  They said the taste
was out of this world and we have to try some.  A local resident gave
us a ziplock bag's worth so I am really excited.

We are forecasting some rain for tomorrow afternoon so we're going to
get an early start.

Good night.

1 mile at a time...
